Crude is the collaborative practice of Sofie Winther and Charles Boy, merging their overlapping personal explorations of domestic social justice, spatial politics, and gender identity. Sofie, a mother of two with a background in fine arts and fashion, examines the parasitic power dynamics between mother and child. Charles, coming from architecture and furniture design, works to liberate domestic spatial ideals from those coerced by bureaucratic frameworks. The collaborative practice was first established in November 2024.
